Best Hangout Spots to Watch College Football in Cherokee County & Ball Ground

College football in the South isn’t just a sport — it’s a way of life.

Saturdays are sacred. The grills are fired up. The team colors are on full display. And everybody’s got an opinion about who’s going to win.

Here in Cherokee County, we’re lucky to have some of the best spots to hunker down, grab a drink, and tune in for game day. Whether you’re pulling for the Dawgs, the Jackets, or anyone in between — these local favorites bring all the energy and excitement of fall Saturdays in Georgia.

Downtown Woodstock

Reformation Brewery
If there’s one spot that captures the essence of a laid-back Saturday in the South, it’s Reformation Brewery. It’s family-friendly, dog-friendly, and has plenty of seating both inside and out. Grab a craft beer, bring the kids, and catch the game on their big screens while soaking in that community vibe Woodstock is known for.

Partners II Pizza
Just around the corner, Partners II Pizza has been a go-to neighborhood hangout for years. Founded in 1977, they opened their Woodstock location a few years ago — bringing classic pizza-joint vibes, cold beer, and the kind of place where you’re almost guaranteed to run into someone you know.
👉 Pro tip: Don’t skip the homemade Partners Sauce — it’s the real deal. And if you want to mix things up, order your pizza to go and enjoy it in the outdoor area at Reformation.

The Daily Draft Taproom & Bar
If you want a true sports bar experience, The Daily Draft is it. Massive wall of TVs. Craft beer on tap. And a self-serve beer wall where you can pour your own. The whole place screams game day energy — perfect for those who don’t want to miss a single play.

Taco Mac – A Georgia Classic

If you grew up anywhere around Atlanta, you already know Taco Mac is a college football institution. Dozens of TVs line the walls, their wings are famous for a reason, and the beer list reads like a playbook that never ends.

There are several nearby locations — Highway 92 in Woodstock, Highway 20 in Canton, and another off Chastain Road in Kennesaw.

And a fun throwback: back in my 20s, I actually worked at Taco Mac. My go-to order? Fiesta Chicken Nachos with chips on the side — basically a boat of cheese dip loaded with toppings. Oh, and if you can handle the heat, don’t skip the Tongue Torch Wings.

Canton’s Game Day Hotspots

Canton has seriously stepped up its hangout game over the last few years.

The Mill on Etowah
This spot has become the heart of Canton’s weekend scene. The Mill features a massive greenspace with a jumbotron on stage — perfect for catching the big game while the kids run around. When fall Saturdays roll in, they crank up “Game Day on the Screen,” streaming the top matchups right on the jumbotron. And the best part? It’s free.

Reformation Brewery – Canton
Overlooking that same greenspace, Reformation’s Canton location brings indoor and outdoor seating, live music, and great beer. Grab food from one of the nearby restaurants — burgers, sushi, or pizza — and enjoy your own tailgate picnic on the green.

B&B Social
Right in downtown Canton, this new addition is part bar, part entertainment hub. With bowling lanes, darts, arcade games, and a sleek social-club vibe, it’s one of the most fun places in Cherokee County to spend a Saturday. Add in TVs tuned to the game, craft cocktails, and great food — you’ve got yourself a perfect blend of upscale and relaxed.

Sidelines Grille
With locations in both Canton and Holly Springs, Sidelines is a staple for die-hard fans. Think wall-to-wall TVs, burgers, wings, cold drinks, and that rowdy, electric energy that fills the room when the Dawgs are playing.

Ball Ground’s Hidden Gem

Don’t sleep on Ball Ground — this small town brings big-time game day energy.

Rock Solid Brewing is a local favorite that mixes small-town charm with a lively community vibe. Local craft beer is always flowing, and while it’s not the biggest space, the atmosphere makes up for it — friendly faces, laid-back energy, and plenty of passion when the game’s on.

Across the street, grab a bite from the Burger Bus or Dominic’s Wood-Fired Pizza — both perfect pairings for an afternoon of football and good company. Rock Solid also hosts live music on certain weekends, so you might just catch a post-game show.

Where Are You Watching the Game?

Whether you’re cheering for the Dawgs, the Jackets, the Tigers, or the Tide — Cherokee County has no shortage of great hangouts for game day.

From breweries and sports bars in Woodstock, to the family-friendly community vibe in Canton, to the small-town energy of Ball Ground — there’s a spot for every type of fan.

So where’s your go-to game day hangout? Drop your favorite in the comments — and let’s settle this once and for all: who’s got the best wings in Cherokee County?

And hey — Go Dawgs!
