Located just outside Interstate 285, this city started as a small religious encampment known as the Smyrna campground in the 1830s. When you live in Smyrna, you're exactly 16 miles from downtown Atlanta and 30 minutes from Hartsfield Jackson airport, the biggest international airport in the southeast. Smyrna is also a large spot to get access to I-75 and I-285. 

If you're living outside the Atlanta perimeter (OTP) it's probably because you do not want to live in the city. But Atlanta is a massive city with great dining and entertainment spots. Smyrna is a great spot if you crave a balanced lifestyle.
